Worth knowing

Aloe vera was already highly valued in ancient Egypt. Nefertiti and Cleopatra are said to have used the gel for daily skin care. LR only uses high-quality ingredients for its aloe vera care products. This begins with the cultivation of the aloe vera plant, which is used in large quantities. Around 23 million aloe vera leaves are harvested for LR every year. Grown without pesticides in the Mexican highlands, it finds the very best climatic growing conditions.

During the harvest, only the outer leaves of the aloe vera are gently removed. Before dawn, still covered in dew, the leaves are transported as quickly as possible for further processing in order to preserve the sensitive ingredients.
