Aloe Vera
Aloe vera is a desert lily and is known as a ‘multi-talent’ for internal and external use. Due to its widely known positive properties, e.g. its ability to store water very well and its extremely positive effect on the body, aloe is the basis of many LR products. LR only uses Aloe Vera Barbadensis Miller for production.

It has proven its ‘abilities’ since ancient times: Nefertiti and Cleopatra are said to have used aloe paste for skin and beauty care.

Calendula
Calendula, or marigold, is widespread throughout Central and Southern Europe, Western Asia and the USA. Its fruits are crescent-shaped to curled – hence the name ‘marigold’.

Calendula has been used to support the skin since ancient times. Its effects are versatile. When used internally, it can have a calming, relaxing and revitalising effect. When used externally, calendula is found in creams, oils or tinctures and can be used for many types of skin irritation.
