Worth knowing

Jasmine is probably one of the best-known and most valuable ingredients in many perfumes. The coveted essential oils are extracted from the fine white flowers of this delicate plant. In order to preserve the full fragrance intensity of these flowers, they must be harvested before sunrise - by hand, of course. This is another reason why jasmine is an expensive perfume ingredient: 500g of jasmine costs several thousand euros and it takes around 6000kg of flowers to produce approx. 1kg of the precious oil!

But it's worth it: the intense floral fragrance, which is unmistakably characterised by fruity, herbal undertones, is not just a treat for the nose. The jasmine scent is considered calming and soothing and is said to help you lose your fears and trust your intuition better.
